House of Thol at Innovate Experience 2025

Musis Arnhem, october 10th 09:30-17:00

On Friday, October 10th, Musis Arnhem will be buzzing with ideas, prototypes, and people who are working towards a better future. More than 100 innovators and changemakers will gather at the Innovate Experience 2025 to share their solutions for some of today’s biggest challenges.

  • We’ll be there too, bringing along our Patera Magna and our ongoing research into how natural processes can help us not only store, but also grow and consume fruit and vegetables in smarter, more sustainable ways.

    .

At first, it may feel a little out of place to present a design that’s so unapologetically low-tech at an innovation fair.

    .

But in a way, that’s exactly the point: there’s a wealth of cultural and historical knowledge around food and nature that we’ve lost sight of. By reintroducing that knowledge in new, thoughtful ways, we are innovating — even without the high-tech component.

  • At the Innovate Experience we’ll demonstrate how the Patera Magna works, share insights from our research, and give practical tips for greener, easier living.

    .

You’ll also get a glimpse of what’s coming next: later this month at Dutch Design Week, we’ll present the next chapter of our food research, Poma/Olera – Setting a future food table.

In this project we explore how design can help us grow food more thoughtfully, store it more intelligently, and rethink the way we consume it.

    .

It’s about reconnecting with food, reducing waste, and imagining future-proof ways of eating and living.

The Patera Magna was just the beginning — there’s much more to come.
